Restrict the Runtime Behavior of Jobs

Last update March 17, 2017

You can define the following environment variables on CA Workload Automation AE to restrict the runtime behavior of a job:

  • RESTRICT_FORCE_STARTJOB=1
This variable restricts a user from running multiple instances of a job while the job is in the STARTING, RUNNING, WAIT_REPLY, or SUSPENDED state.
  • RESTRICT_DELETE_JOB=1
This variable restricts a user from deleting a job when the job is in the ACTIVATED, STARTING, RUNNING, WAIT_REPLY, or SUSPENDED state.
  • RESTRICT_DELETE_DEPENDENT_JOB=1
This variable restricts a user from deleting a job if the job has dependencies.
Note: For more information about adding system environment variables, see Environment Variables.
