Configure Portal Database Clustering

Last update January 31, 2018

If you have a MySQL Cluster, then you can setup the lrs and lrsdata databases for the API Portal on the cluster. Clustering improves database performance and redundancy. There are four main steps to do this:

  • Step 1: Create the API Portal databases on the MySQL Cluster.
  • Step 2: Direct the API Portal to the cluster databases.
  • Step 3: Direct the API Portal Metrics Sync Utility to the cluster databases.
  • Step 4: Migrate the API Portal data to the Cluster.

  • A MySQL Cluster
  • Installed CA API Developer Portal v3.0 (or later) with an integrated CA API Gateway.
  • The Gateway Plugin passwords (see Configure the Gateway Plugin)
  • An up-to-date snapshot of your API Portal
  • Access to the following files in /opt/Deployments/lrs/tools/layer7-ndb-support:

About "A Gateway and API Portal v3.0" of Prerequisites:
The above means the API Portal environment that installation is completed. (Portal and Gateway are Integration .) But, the meaning is hard to understand.

So, please change as the following. "Installed API Portal v3.0(or later) with Integrated API Gateway"

There is a typo in 'lrs_db.sq' file name and the location of these scripts are not specified here.
