Configure z/OS Management Facility for CA ACF2
Last update October 23, 2018
IBM® z/OS® Management Facility (z/OSMF) provides system management functions in a task-oriented web browser-based user interface with integrated user assistance, so that you can manage the day-to-day operations and administration of your z/OS systems. By streamlining some traditional tasks and automating others, z/OSMF can help to simplify some areas of z/OS system management.
z/OSMF provides a framework for managing various aspects of a z/OS system through a web browser interface.
- Before beginning to run jobs to define resource authorizations, ensure that you have prepared your CA ACF2 environment for z/OSMF.
- While running jobs to secure z/OSMF resources, your security administrator specifies a system authorization facility (SAF) profile prefix to use for naming z/OSMF resources. The prefix is appended to the names of z/OSMF resource profiles and is used in some CA ACF2 commands in the jobs. By default, the SAF prefix is IZUDFLT; however, your site can substitute a different value.
